Thoughts on first competition:
Scary, thrilling,nervous
Thoughts on last three competitions...
Only done two, enjoyed them both, the buzz is HUGE , lots to learn from both of them, not just physically but mentally.
Hopes for next competition...
To be the best i can be on the day and know that i have given it a hundred percent, thats all we can do.. learn from the day and use it to improve in future competitions.
Best body part/Feature/Ability
Back and shoulders..
Worst
Lack of confidence and self belief.. there is no one harder on me than me, im my worst critic and believe that even with twenty years training id still not be good enough!! I am getting better with help of my trainers Brandon Marjoram and Ann Gardner..Not being able to take my own advice, i can instill belief and confidence in others just not myself!!!!
Tips..
Be patient.....
We all have to start some where, my starting point, Sept 4th, don't expect results over night it takes years to conquer our own little battles to get to where we are today ( mine being a weight issue yo-yoing between 9 and 14 stone/ a size ten to twenty for many years) I'd always liked bodybuilding but never believed that id ever be able to be one especially in my heavy days but the only person stopping me was me, i just didn't want it bad enough then i guess or i would have done it..only we can make our dreams what ever they may be sports related or not happen just believe that you can do it, and if the desire is there then it will happen, if you hit a hurdle just pick yourself up off your knees, dust yourself down and keep moving forward.. Never look back , every ones goal is in their grasp you just have to reach out for it..
Thank-yous...
My two children Rebecca and Emily for tolerating how much time i give to the gym, my diet and not complaining when i dont eat the buns they bake..
My twin sister for being my rock, getting me through the tough training days and having enough belief in me to motivate a entire universe not just one person
Brandon Marjoram my trainer for having incredible patience with me and helping me achieve my dream to get on a stage and compete, he has given me the confidence to make steps to achieve my dream not once but twice and soon to be a third time, id still be dreaming about it if it wasn't for him and Ann his partner, i am in debt to them both..Ann Gardner, Brandons partner for taking me under her wing and getting me to the competitions, tanning me up and looking after me at the shows as well as the time they have both given me in gym and at their home pitting together my routine, posing practice.. the endless texts encouraging me between my weekly training sessions with them..
Jon Bibb for being a great friend and also believing in me and encouraging me to follow my dream to have a go at competing..
Also My employers Big Guns Gym for supporting me and encouraging me in my quest to become a competative bodybuilder..
